I first used this product probably 5yrs ago and completely forgot how good it was. After I have cleansed in the evening with a balm or an oil I then use this as my second cleanse. Elemis do say you can use it morning and evening but I love the thought of giving my cell renewal an extra boost before bed. As you know I am obsessed with how the skin works and how ingredients can make a huge difference to the skin, the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash includes enzymes which will help lift away the dead skin cells and the cleansing part of the facial wash can give the skin an extra clean, as let’s not forget how much pollution dirt and impurities get trapped under dead skin cells. The results are visible and instant, your skin looks smoother, brighter and clearer.

2022 was the year that highlighted liquid exfoliators as game changers, think of them as micro doses of exfoliation that are gentle but still effective. You may have heard of PHA’s (polyhydroxy acids) they are the next generation of exfoliating acids, everything you want them to be but with minimal irritation. PHA’s (Gluconolactone) are a larger molecule than the famous sister AHAs and therefore won’t penetrate as deep and they tend to work on the surface layers causing less stress to the skin. Not only do they break the bonds that hold the dead skin cells together, but they also bring the skin lots of moisture. This is why I love them, they always deliver results in the most respectful way, banishing my dead skin cells whilst hydrating the new cells. I always use Press and Glow when I am using retinoids.

2021 was definitely the year my addiction to these pads started, so much so that I did force myself to take a break as I wasn’t trying anything else and as you know I need to experience and research so I can advise what’s the best for your skin. I love everything about them, the innovative technology, the choice of ingredients and the results. I am greedy and use two, one in each hand to get the best results, however one pad is enough. I also use these at night-time (I wouldn’t use the pads straight after Press and Glow I would use them on different nights) for the ultimate glass like skin look, where the light bounces off the skin and the complexion glows and they work brilliantly after the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash and can be your toner and your exfoliating pads.

The quickest way to increase your moisture levels is with an essence, they literally cause a moisture surge to the skin, however not all essences are made equally. I love essences that have the moisture power, the comfort and the ability to hold the moisture. Pro Collagen Marine Moisture Essence is packed with moisture minerals that are integral to helping the skin hold the moisture in the upper levels. When I was researching all of the essences on the market what I noticed about Pro Collagen Marine Moisture Essence is that they have included ingredients such as Chlorella Vulgaris Extract which slows down the two enzymes that are responsible to cutting down and removing old collagen and elastin which basically get scissor happy as we age. If you starting to see visible signs that show the levels of collagen and elastin are declining, definitely look out for ingredients that will inhibit these enzymes.

Origins Plantscription Multi Powered Youth Serum
One of the first serums I tested in 2021 and nothing really came close from then on. I loved this serum for so many reasons but mainly it’s 4 serums in one - hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, peptides and the anti-ageing cell renewal booster anogeissus, otherwise known as a natural healer. Plant powered by 16 actives and 6 peptides in a gel cream texture to deliver the most gorgeous satin soft look to the skin. Skin looks smoother, firmer and hydration levels are increased. I think it’s the combination of 6-line levelling peptides and the anogeissus that targets the fibrillin fibres that are essential for the production of elastin fibres. These fibres damage so easily and there are less of them in the skin so we need to look after them. Did I see a difference in my lines and wrinkles – yes I did and I’m now on the hunt for the best serum of 2022. The benchmark is high.

Clarins Double Serum Eye
I absolutely adored this eye serum and would highly recommend it if you feel the skin around your eyes needs some tlc, is desperate for moisture and hydration and you would like to plumping out the lines and wrinkles. This eye serum I believe is now Clarins no.1 top selling eye cream and I can see why. The formula is in two chambers and with a clever pump that allows you to control how much is dispensed (I used the smallest dispenser, the large does distribute a lot) it delivers both phases so you can mix in your fingertips. It’s packed with omegas to moisturise, vitamins for skin health, plant extracts to strengthen and protect against pollution and free radical damage to the delicate eye tissue. I felt the lines under my eyes were reduced and the delicate tissue was really smoothed thanks to the maximum amount of moisture that was delivered. Did I see a lifting.….no but then I am not sure if I had too high an expectation.
